It's finally here! Our first family vacation!! We packed the car the night before so that we could set out right after breakfast. At about 7am, David arrived in our room, with a light saber, a toy gun, a flashlight, and some other items strapped to his waist, and called out, "It's vacation time; I'm ready!" We were all so excited!
It was about 5 hours to Harbor Springs, and the kids did great in the car. (Really, that is such a relief!!) We had plenty of goofy time (as you can see from the pictures :), and the boys pretty much watched movies non-stop. After we arrived at the house, we settled in and the Natalie and I went in search of groceries (amazing amount of food we bought...and money we spent --- there's no Aldi in Petoskey :( but what can you do?). We had a pizza dinner (thank you Hemingways! :) and then sent the little ones off to bed. With six children in the house age1-6, there was plenty of fun and excitement throughout the day, and they were all quite tuckered out! A successful first day to our first vacation!
